Expert Analysis
Jared Stansbury | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
One of the smoothest scorers in the gym on Sunday, Christiansen (pictured above) is aggressive and confident with the ball in her hands. She has a smooth handle using both hands that allows her to attack all areas of the floor and she can knock down shots from all over. She’s an efficient attacker with long strides and sees the floor well when kicking it out off penetration. Her length and activity make her a very solid defender and she does a solid job of guarding with her feet rather than her hands. She’s the real deal.

+8 We assembled the Freshmen 50 in September. Then came October and the Fall Exclusive. Christianson took those Friday night sessions by storm, playing with enough energy to light up the gym. Dreah was not to be denied. That momentum carried over into the regular season where she put together a series of strong performances – 19 points vs East Grand Forks and Roseau; 22 & 5 against a tough Rock Ridge squad; 20 & 9 against New York Mills… You get the picture. She moves up to #29

As we told you Sunday night in our look at 10 top performers at the Freshman Showcase, Dreah was our breakout player of the day. The 3×3 competition was a new addition to the event this year, giving players an opportunity to make a good first impression right out of the gate. Christianson wasted no time using sheer intensity and effort to impact the games. In full-court contests she has the ability to bomb threes from long distance, get by defenders from either side of the court, and finish with either hand. Christiansen isn’t the fastest horse in the race, but she gets where she needs to be when she needs to be there. This is a prospect with plenty of upside.
