to commit for some time now and that time has finally come as Peterson has been locked in to compete at the next level with Iowa Central (Juco) following her Senior season at Waukee NW. Peterson can be a game changer when she has confidence. I’ve seen her become priority #1 at collegiate camps and showcase events over the past few year’s so I’m excited to be able to see what she will be able to put together. This is a guard that has a better the average handle, she can control everything under pressure, she has a solid shooting stroke from deep with a lot of knowledge of the game when it comes to strategy. If Peterson can work on her weaknesses and build on her game over the next few years, she should end up somewhere respectable by the time she leaves Iowa Central.

of Waukee NW just grabbed an offer from JUCO – Iowa Central to give her an opportunity to compete after this Senior year. Peterson, a 5’7 PG/CG, is really solid when she has to take over. The problem is we just keep seeing her in system’s where that is not needed, so many aren’t aware of what she can really do. When Peterson has been at Showcases over her career, she has stood out as a main and respectable producer on both ends. Some hoopers only need one chance to make the most of it and make an instant impact where-ever they are at. I think Peterson can be that hooper as long as she stays motivated with the task at hand.

can bring it when she needs to. I’ve seen it first hand at events for years now. When Peterson is asked to be her team’s driving force, she can be really productive and efficient. She keeps everything under-control on both offense and defense, demonstrating how well she can lead the group in every facet of the game. At the next level Peterson would have to be more of a PG/creator but that’s possible with the correct guidance. This AAU season she did what she could in the time she was given and that’s something she should be proud of.

. Peterson can really hoop when she is motivated and she has the confidence of her coaching staff behind her. I saw it first hand to start off this AAU season and that’s kept on pace throughout the Spring so far. She competes at the PG spot and has been doing a thorough job of making the others around her better, as she plays respectable ball in her own right. She is hitting cutters, finding open teammates with ease, and making sure that everyone gets involved. Three things you love to see out of your PG. I hope that Peterson gets a chance to continue to shine. Like we said, if she has the confidence of her staff behind her and the ball in her possession a good amount, she could make somethings happen.

. When Peterson is engaged and motivated she is the definition of a solid prospect. She possesses fundamentals of the game, she has a killer instinct about her, she knows the X’s and O’s, all while being a good communicator and teammate to those around her. As long as Peterson produces this weekend and the rest of this AAU season, she should have some more suitors involved in getting her to commit moving into her Senior season at Waukee NW.

Peterson displayed during the weekend that when she is determined to get to the basket, she is usually successful. I saw some great drives and internal motivation out of Peterson at this event. She stayed hungry on the offensive side of the floor, while attacking her defenders hips off the dribble. She also knocked down open shots when it was passed back to her, and she played team ball while still handling her own in different facets of the game. I’m excited for this upcoming season and how Peterson might do. If she competes with a chip on her shoulder like she did on Saturday, she should register some nice numbers in her efforts before the season finishes out.

Waukee NW High School is going to be a program that everyone sleeps on going into this Winter but they shouldn’t. If other programs understood what their personal looked like and their talent level, they would understand that this Wolves team could be a State Competitor for years to come. Someone from their group that is going to have a vital role in all of that will be PG,

. Peterson can help lead a team if need be at the PG position, getting others open and hitting them for an easy assist or she can move to an off-guard position and hold her own at steady rate. If you have been paying attention in Iowa over the past few years, you know what Peterson can do and I’m excited for her to show off that ability over the next few days at this event.

is a sophomore point guard who plays for Waukee High School. She does a nice job playing off the catch. From incorporating her jab step, peaking at the rim when she catches the ball, you can tell she’s put in the work. One of my favorite things about this player is the pace she plays at. Dylan understands playing under control and doesn’t do too much or anything unnecessary. She keeps the game simple and reads the defense very well. Additionally, she is a natural leader and can play on any team and make them better. Only a sophomore with a lot of potential!

played very well on both sides of the floor. She wanted to guard the best player defensively and offensively she played her game and didn’t let the defense dictate her offense. Her shot mechanics are great and she didn’t miss many open shots. Shooting off the catch was great and she shot well off the dribble with the proper footwork. Unfortunately, Dylan was injured during the event and wasn’t able to play the last 2 games. One thing that stood out after her injury was her supporting her teammates. She looked engaged during games and encouraged her team while having to sit and watch. Waukee High School not only has a great ball player in their program, but a fantastic teammate.
