had a strong showing at the Capitol City Classic as a consistent three-level scorer. Howell was named CCC Player of the Game after scoring 26 points, including three three-pointers made, against Nelson in the semifinals. Howell also led all scorers in the final against West Linn with 17 points. She drained the pull-up three, knocked down the turnaround jumper in transition, and finished the individual effort drive through contact and the foul. The Sacramento State commit is off to a great start this year.

The Sacramento State-bound Howell and her South Medford Lady Panthers went toe-to-toe with some of the best teams in California and Hawai’i at the ‘Iolani Classic in Honolulu. Howell shot the lights out during the games and participated in the three-point shootout on the final day. She moves around the court lightning-quick without the ball, cutting hard and setting physical screens. She also showed great chemistry with her bruising frontcourt partner,

, on handoff actions. Akpan gets most of the press as the top Oregon center prospect in her class, but playing with the state’s top stretch big in Howell makes her life a whole lot easier. Both players earned all-tournament team nods.

keeps rising. She is consistently strong on the ball, fast on the drive, athletic at the rim, and can drain the three. The 6-foot forward runs the floor, scores in transition, and finishes strong through contact and the foul. She defends, rebounds, hustles to win the 50/50s, and can make the big-time block on the drive inside. Howell averaged 11 points (shooting 54% from the field and 34% from three), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals and was named to the Southwest Conference First Team her junior year. She averaged 20.5 points, (shooting 52% from the field and 50% from three), 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1 steal per game at the 2025 6A state tournament to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Second Team. Howell also earned an All-State Honorable mention her junior year. She jumped to No. 9 in the Prep Girls Hoops Oregon Class of 2026 prospect rankings.

drives strong to the basket, can hit from three, and is a good defender. She finished tough takes from the perimeter to the rim and knocked down a couple three-pointers late in the game when South Medford needed it most. Dyllyn is strong and athletic. She’s grown since December, which is a testament to her competitiveness and her commitment to get better. She’s got the potential to taker over a game, she just needs to unlock it. If Howell can continue to put up big numbers against top competition, she’s going to take South Medford far. Howell scored 16 points with 3 assists, 3 steals, and a block.

had a strong and complete tournament for South Medford, averaging 14.6 points, 2.3 three-pointers made, and at least 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals per game. Howell was a bubble first-team pick and was named Player of the Game against McMinnville. She put in work on defense with 6 boards against tournament champion Clovis West. She was instrumental in breaking the end of the press, whipping cross-court assists to teammate Mayen Akpan in the paint. She had an athletic block from behind on the baseline. Howell has the confidence to drain the pull-up 3-pointer after making a steal in the backcourt. Whether in transition or from an individual effort during the halfcourt offense, Howell has a fast, direct take to the rim and can finish strong through contact and the foul.

grew her game in the offseason and stood out as a 3-and-D player at the Barlow Trail tournament. Howell is athletic and can defend well in the paint and out on the perimeter. She has good vision and passing, she sneaks out on transition and guns for the basket on the dribble. Howell averaged 10.5 points in her first two games of the season, earning fast-break layups and assists after steals. She also showed off her range with three 3s, and her shooting form looks good from the pull-up and the catch-and-shoot. Howell plays well off of teammate

is another new big in the 2026 rankings to keep an eye on. She was honorable mention all-Southwest Conference last season. Howell is long, athletic, and versatile, as well as a nice compliment to the size and power of Mayen Akpan. She will likely have an increased role with some seniors leaving in her upcoming junior campaign.
