Roberts just finished a great career for the Lady Vikings. She finished her career with 1.093 points and was named Region Player of the Year back-to-back years. Dy’Neka had 8 points and 14 rebounds in the Class 1A State Championship Game vs Military Magnet.

She really does a good job of cleaning up the glass on both ends of the floor with her athleticism. Roberts is a quick leaper who can really affect a game on the defensive end of the floor. She averaged 15.1 ppg and 10.6 rebounds this past season for the Lady Vikings (27-3).

Roberts is a textbook example of the phrase “diamond in the rough.” She plays somewhat off the grid in a less than heavily populated area of South Carolina but her team gets plenty of attention because of its statewide success. Roberts uses her 5-foot-8 frame to her advantage as she plays primarily at the three as someone who can haul in rebounds and put points on the board. She averaged 15.8 points, 12 rebounds and 6.4 steals per contest in 2021-22. With one more season remaining in Vikings blue and gold under coach Terence Jones, she is poised to conclude her high school career with an exclamation point.

When considering the phrase “walking double-double,” an image of Roberts has to pop in someone’s mind. Roberts wears the No. 2 for the Vikings but her bread and butter is what she does playing the three in the frontcourt. Roberts, standing at 5-foot-8, is another element to the defensive-minded bunch Denmark-Olar fields under coach Terence Jones. She is very likely to rack up plenty of steals and those opposing team turnovers can become extra possessions. The “walking double-double” element of her game occurs in the form of what she gets accomplished as a scorer and rebounder. Roberts averaged 15.8 points, 12 rebounds and 6.4 steals per contest. College coaches should not ignore Roberts simply because she plays somewhat off the grid.
