Her “step back” jumper was effective, she showed a solid spin move while attacking the basket plus she finished with either hand but seeing her defend and play the passing lane was a treat and one more time #sizedontmatter when you can play

Esparza-Brooks gave me a nice initial showing at the Houston United Swipa Camp, see evaluation here, and seeing her become more explosive off the dribble was huge as she blew by defenders with ease

Esparza-Brooks falls into that #sizedontmatter group, and one more time, it doesn’t matter when you can play. She’s fearless on both ends, diving for loose balls as well as understanding positioning to outrebound taller players, yet her “on the ball” pressure needs to be mentioned as well. She also attacked and scored off the dribble and saw the floor across the board; the first step created some problems
