Elie Bstandig Elie Bstandig 5'10" | C Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer | 2026 State NE has been a constant for the past few seasons at Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer and I don’t expect that to change for her last go-around. Bstandig is her team’s source in the middle. She is the hooper that they look to get all the action too when she has a smaller defender on her and she is the player that controls the middle of the lane on defense a majority of the time as well. No matter where Bstandig is, she has proven over the past few seasons that she is going to put up numbers for her team the best she can given the situation and that is something we can all respect.

One of the most impressive stat lines of the past couple of months occurred on Tuesday when HTRS High School beat Sterling. In this event, Center – Elie Bstandig Elie Bstandig 5'10" | C Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer | 2026 State NE did whatever she wanted on both ends. She finished things with 22 points (11-21) and 22 rebounds. A 22 & 22 game is impressive. Those numbers take heart, Will power, and great conditioning to be able to stay on the court for a majority of the time. This might not be the best performance of the high school season within Nebraska but it’s definitely up there so far.

Sometimes impressive numbers are just that. You have to take them for what they are and who they are recored against – competition wise. Sometimes impressive numbers are impressive no matter what. In this case, I’m referring to Elie Bstandig Elie Bstandig 5'10" | C Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer | 2026 State NE and her 16.8 RPG to begin the 2024 – 2025 high school season. Whenever you see that someone can almost grab 20 boards a game, you know how hard of a worker that they have to be. Doesn’t matter if they have a height advantage or not. Bstandig is someone that is going to be able to grab 10-12 RPG by the time we get to the end of the season and if she does that, I’m sure she is going to love how the year goes as a whole.

Elie Bstandig Elie Bstandig 5'10" | C Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer | 2026 State NE is someone that embodies what it means to be an undersized Center on the hardwood. Bstandig only comes in at 5’10 but she holds her own in every statistical category near the basket or in the painted area on either side of the basketball. The past two season, Bstandig has been a constant for her high school team. I really need to see her more to dive deep into her play-style but if the past two years have been any indiction of what she can do, she is going to be just fine these next two seasons at the Varsity level, while standing out every once in a while in the meantime.
