Ella showcased deep range from three and knocked down shots well beyond the arc. She also displayed a sweet step-through move that led to a tough finish off the glass. Her effort stands out as she plays hard every possession and competes on both ends. With the ball, Ella stays low on her dribble to protect it and maintain control under pressure. She is a solid teammate and understands spacing which helps create opportunities for those around her.

One of the most impressive young guards in the state, David has already shown the ability to produce at a high level as a freshman averaging 25 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. She’s a natural scorer with size—comfortable shooting from deep and creating off the bounce. What stands out is her confidence—she doesn’t shy away from big moments and plays with a scorer’s mentality. As she continues to develop physically and expand her playmaking, her ceiling is sky high.

David is not from South Georgia, but she is another player who has not gotten the recognition she deserves nationally. David, quite frankly, had a lot of hype and big reputation to live up to heading into her freshman season. All she did was lead her team to a 26-4 record where they went undefeated (10-0) in a very tough region playing Cherokee Bluff (1-2) three times before the state tournament. David was outstanding in the playoffs as well before Oconee lost a very close game to the eventual state champions Heritage-Catoosa. David had a monster freshman season averaging 25 points, five rebounds, four steals, and three assists per game while also leading the team in blocks. Her ceiling is still very high as she has three more years and the real possibility of scoring 3,000 points and breaking some records along the way. She scored an astonishing 727 points this year as a freshman. Both parents were very good high school and college players themselves, so she knows the game and plays with a high level of efficiency. Both parents are also very competitive (mom is her high school coach) and so is she. Ella leaves it all on the court and plays the game with a lot of joy. She is another player I am looking forward to watching before she goes off to play major college basketball.

Ella is the youngest of the stars mentioned, but had as good a year as almost any player in Georgia as a freshman. She leads by example with her play and her teammates seem to feed off her youthful exuberance. They know how good Ella is and have raised their games all season long to match her resulting in a 26-3 record and a spot in the Elite Eight. David’s game is unorthodox and unique to her which makes her very difficult to prepare for. David knows where her spots are and does a great job getting to them. Ella is very confident shooting the ball from the perimeter and can slash to the basket with the best of them. She is very crafty with the ball and has excellent peripheral vision. When defenses over-commit to her she punishes them by finding one of her many talented teammates like Jill Daniel Jill Daniel 5'9" | SF/SG Oconee County | 2027 State GA (just offered by Georgia College and State). Daniel is a very good player who quietly goes about her business. Sophomore Maddie Cass brings the juice and energy on defense and is very capable of scoring for the Lady Warriors. Cass, like Bristol Kersh Bristol Kersh 5'7" | CG Cherokee Bluff | 2027 State GA , looks like a wing back playing basketball and their ability to turn defense into offense quickly translates very well from the pitch to the court.

David has quietly led Oconee County to a 25-3 record and a top five ranking in the state. The start to her high school career had a lot of hype the last year or so around the state and Ella has not only lived up to that hype, but done so as the player every opposing teams has prioritized to stop. Even against double teams and junk defenses, the freshman has continued to stack 20 point games while playing within the flow of her team’s offense. David has the skills and size to be a Power Four recruit, sooner rather than later. David’s offensive game is unique to her as she scores the ball from all over the court. She is a bouncy, energetic player who is very much attack-minded with the ball in her hands, but doesn’t force bad passes or take bad shots. She is an efficient and talented scorer from all three levels. David finished 23 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in the round one win over Long County.

David put on quite a performance with one of the best athletes in the state guarding her the whole game. David has very good size and length which she uses so well that she actually plays bigger than her almost six foot frame. With the ball in her hands, David does a great job staying low, but keeping the ball out wide, creating more space for herself. She was very effective attacking the basket on the baseline and driving middle where she knocked down midrange jump shots and floaters and got all the way to the rim and finished as well. David made multiple shots from three point range as well. She moved constantly and with a purpose to get open when she was off the ball on offense. Very skilled freshman who has the talent and ability to climb up the national rankings the next three years.

In a much-anticipated freshman season for Ella David Ella David 5'11" | CG Oconee County | 2029 State GA , the young guard has lived up to the hype. David delivered big against Clarke Central scoring 27 points with 5 steals, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. She followed that up with another impressive showing scoring 31 points in Oconee county’s win over Eastside. David still has a lot of upside, but is producing at a very high level already. She is an outstanding shooter from deep and is very crafty dribbling the ball and finishing in traffic in the paint.

In two wins, Ella averaged 17.5 points per game. Against East Forsyth, she filled up the box score with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 1 block. The freshman is the front-runner for league MVP as she tops the charts in points per game and has the Warriors near the top of the table in the league standings heading into championship weekend.

David sparked a comeback with 13 second half points before Oconee County edged Fannin County 50-47 in overtime. Ella racked up 21 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists, presenting problems with her size and shot-making ability from the perimeter. David hit pull-up jumpers and scored efficiently with her left hand. The league’s leading scorer upped her averaged to 19.7 points per game.

The freshman put on a show in a win over Dawson County, pouring in 24 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. David played like a veteran, hunting her offense and using her length to make plays. Ella buried four threes as she got to her spots routinely. She plays off two feet in the paint, is patient with her decisions and has a slick handle to manipulate the defense when creating on the perimeter.
