Ella got moved up to the varsity last season as just an eighth grader and played really well. She was a key role player on last season’s team and will be a main offensive option this year. Ella is a big-time talent and will have plenty of choices on where she wants to play college hoops. She is incredibly skilled and crafty and one of the hardest working players in the region. I predict Ella having an All-Conference season. Last year she averaged 5.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Look for those numbers to at least double this season.

Ella is one of the most talented returning players for the Sheyenne Mustangs. She will need to fill some big shoes and should have a great chance at earning a spot on the All-EDC team in 2027. The Mustangs will rely upon her and Evie Sevald Evie Sevald 5'8" | CG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2027 State ND heavily to score the rock. She is more than capable of stepping up to the challenge and I anticipate her easily scoring in double-figures next season. Froning is another gym rat and has tremendous upside as a player. She loves the game and plays it the right way.

Ella has potential to find herself on the All-EDC team next season as a freshman. She has all of the tools to be a multi-year All-EDC selection. She is one of the more skilled players in the 2030 class and is able to perform multiple moves to get to her scoring spots. She is crafty with her footwork which allows her to slip past defenders to the basket. She had a solid first year of varsity play last season and is one of Sheyenne’s top returning players. She is a hardworking athlete and very coachable. I predict big things in the future for Froning.

Ella has an incredibly bright future. She made her varsity debut this season and was a huge contributor on a good Sheyenne squad. She averaged 5.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game this season. She scored in double-figures a handful of times this season and scored a career best 12 points against Bismarck High. Ella has a quick release and can score on all three levels. She has great vision with the ball and can find the open teammate. I appreciate how Ella prepares for the game. She does a lot of work in the offseason and is very competitive. Look for Ella to have a breakout season next year as a freshman.

Ella has been a key reserve for a Mustang squad that is playing some great team basketball. She is currently coming off of the bench but will likely be a four-year starter for Sheyenne in the future. She came into her first varsity action and hit two 3’s and an ‘and-one’ layup. She isn’t scared of the older girls and is a great competitor. She will be an elite skilled athlete and has a bright future as a Mustang.

Ella has a bright future in ND hoops. She has been showing out this summer for a top Minnesota AAU team and is grinding it out locally at camps and clinics. She is a dedicated athlete and very coachable player. She brings a great effort and attitude to the court and you can always count on her to do her best. She is ultra skilled and always looking for ways to get better. She should have a great chance at playing some high school minutes next year as an 8th grader.
