Evie played as well as I have ever seen her play. She looked like a guard that could play in the Northern Sun. She is a very strong guard and has the physical attributes to play at that level. She defended posts against bigger teams who couldn’t find position because of how strong she is. She was amazing using the ball screen. She hit shot after shot coming off ball screens in the mid-range due to opponents being in drop coverage. Once they stepped up to stop Evie, she hit the roller with a perfect pocket-pass for a layup. Her decision making in the ball screen was elite.

Sheyenne started winning games win Evie started playing well. She was key to their success this season and earned herself a spot on the All-EDC team for the second consecutive season. She has the frame, strength, and athletic ability to play at the college level. She seems to be ultra competitive as well. One aspect she will need to continue to work on will be her efficiency shooting the basketball. Her final stat line from her season is really impressive. She finished the year averaging 13.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals per game.

Evie has all of the tools to be an effective high school guard and has potential to play at the next level. She is a savvy guard who made improvements handling the rock as the season progressed. She is also an excellent swimmer, with stamina and effort transferring to the basketball court. I like how she plays with a chip on her shoulder and how competitive she is. I am looking forward to seeing her Junior season campaign.

Evie is a good guard and quality scorer for Sheyenne. She is currently the leading scorer for the Mustangs. She plays with confidence and swagger. She has been improving her outside shooting as the season has progressed. She is able to handle the ball against full-court defenses and is a player with great future potential.

Evie Sevald Evie Sevald 5'8" | CG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2027 State ND is Sheyenne’s most talented offensive player and will likely find herself on the All-EDC team this season. She is having a nice season so far, averaging 10.4 points per game, 4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. She has good size and athleticism for a point guard and is one of the primary ball-handlers for her team. She has a nice change of speed when trying to get to the basket and does a nice job of getting to the free throw line. I like Evie’s confidence and swagger out on the floor and think she has potential to be a very good player.

Evie led all Mustangs players in scoring with 12 points. She also was one of the few players who played with some poise against the Demons tough full-court pressure. It is tough to not have turnovers against such a good defense, but Evie’s turnovers were not catastrophic turnovers that led to immediate layups for Bismarck High. Evie plays with a swagger and confidence that is going to lead to her having many great games for the Mustangs.
