She hustled back in transition to take a charge and consistently cleaned up the defensive glass, quickly looking to ignite the break with smart outlet passes. Her awareness stood out, including a poised entry bounce pass while off balance and a timely wing 3 that cut the deficit to one. Late in the game, she continued to battle on the boards and created scoring opportunities for teammates, doing the little things that kept Steward within reach.

Ella Grace Saunders had a nice day for Steward. She has great size for a two guard, and I think that helps Steward’s ability to consistently play 4 guards. Ella is a knockdown shooter with good range and a solid driver. She is a consistent, reliable piece for Steward and did well as a secondary ball handler.

Really good size for a shooting guard! Is a true throwback spot up catch and shoot from the perimeter and from three point range! Has really developed and improved other aspects to her game, she is capable of driving to the basket using her height as an advantage. Improved ball handling skills not a combo guard but she has no problem in the open floor with the ball in her hands. A solid veteran player that gives her team consistent production.

She didn’t have a great year shooting the ball, but that could improve going forward with the fluidity of her jump shot. She rebounds the ball well and has excellent size for a guard.

Even though her percentages don’t show it, she’s a good shooter and had some big games shooting the three this year. Her release is quick and natural, and I also love her ability as a rebounder. She will raise that 3-point % next year, and you will hear her name more next year.
