As the 2023-2024 season reaches the midpoint, a variety of showcases and tournaments are ongoing. In a couple of weeks, conference seasons will wind down, and teams will begin preparing for their 2024 state tournament run. After expanding the 2024 rankings list to a Top-125 and a watch list of another 125 prospects, we are now at 250 total 2024 prospects listed on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana. Our March update will mark the final time the Class of 2024 will be updated, but in the meantime, I wanted to highlight all of the centers in the class who we currently have listed, as well as point out some newcomers and those who have raised their stock since the beginning of the season.

WINTER NEWCOMERS:
Carlee Adams
Carlee
Adams

Greensburg | 2024
IN
, 2024, 6-1 C, Greensburg H.S.
– Carlee just popped up on my radar during the first part of the high school season. She has good size and strength, and she’s able to alleviate some pressure off of star Junior
Leah West

so West can play away from the basket. But Carlee does have some offensive skill as well as a defensive presence.

Parke Heritage | 2024
IN
, 2024, 6-0 C, Parke Heritage H.S.
– Reaghan is another big, strong, physical interior player. She was originally at Riverton Parke but transferred to Parke Heritage last year. She is more of a defender/rebounder, but she has some touch and skill in the mid-post as well. She has committed to play college basketball at Oakland City University.
Layla Macon

Hammond Morton | 2024
IN
, 2024, 6-0 C, Hammond Morton H.S.
– Layla is also a new name to me this Winter. She has nice length, a solid to strong frame, and she seems to work hard each possession. She rotates well from “help”, does a nice job of blocking shots and boxing out defensively, and she’s an opportunistic scorer right now who gets dump-offs and put-backs.
Lariah Wooden

6'2" | C
Crispus Attucks | 2024
IN
, 2024, 6-2 C, Crispus Attucks H.S.
– Lariah is a big, strong, powerful post prospect for the Tigers, and she could have a big future on the basketball floor. However, she is a talented thrower in track and has already committed to Eastern Kentucky University. She is a bruiser and a people-mover in the paint, plus she has some touch at the rim.

WINTER STOCK-RISERS:
Aijia Elliott
Aijia
Elliott
6'0" | C
Kokomo | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 6-0 C/PF, Kokomo H.S.
– Aijia is a skilled and still-developing frontline prospect. Over the past 12-18 months, she has done a tremendous job of making herself leaner, quicker, and more explosive. She has a nice shot from as deep as 3-point range, and she’s starting to go off the bounce a lot more effectively as well. When she was younger, she was a kid who used her frame and power to get her way, but now she has become light on her feet and is able to play some perimeter forward or “face-up ‘5’” most of the time. She is still a high-volume rebounder, and she’s becoming a better defender away from the rim.
Alexis Warren
Alexis
Warren
6'1" | C
Pike | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 6-1 C, Pike H.S.
– Alexis has an incredibly strong/powerful, almost muscular frame, but she also runs the floor well and has the ability to use her quickness and vertical to explode to the rim. She’s still overly left-handed, but she has worked on becoming more diverse scoring it around the block. If she gets to her spot first, though, she’s winning the positioning battle nine times out of ten, offensively or defensively. She can box out to rebound or chase down caroms outside of her area, she will block shots coming from “helpside”, plus she’s comfortable sitting down and defending ball screens.
Rachel Wirts
Rachel
Wirts
6'3" | C
Center Grove | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 6-3 C, Center Grove H.S.
– Rachel had a huge Spring and Summer, and it has manifested into a strong Senior campaign for the Trojans. She has always had size, the ability to get out and run the floor, plus some touch in the mid-post. However, she’s extending her range to near the 3-point line, plus she’s doing more off the dribble. On the block, she has a variety of half-hooks and different finishes, but it’s her willingness to be more physical/aggressive that has helped most. She has nearly doubled her scoring as a Senior, and next year she will head to play at Villanova University near Philadelphia.
