Ella is a forward who really impressed me during the travel season and at team shootouts with GRCC. She’s a gritty and competitive player who protects the rim, battles for rebounds, and finishes with excellent footwork around the basket. Ella would be an exciting addition to The Expo.

Ella climbed our rankings with a string of impressive high school and travel outings in front of our scouts. Ella caught our attention at the PGH Michigan State Tournament, made more noise at Ferris State Team Camp, and added an exclamation point at the Big North Shootout. Her strong finishing at the rim, ruthless rebounding, relentless hustle, and shot-blocking presence were consistent separators. Ella’s presence is missed when she isn’t in the game–her physical style and length should draw attention from college programs.

Ella seemed to always have her hands on the ball for GR Catholic Central at the Big North Shootout. She worked hard to secure offensive rebounds and showed her relentless effort to never give up on a play. Ella blocked shots and finished shots efficiently at the rim off two feet. She froze a defender with a shot fake and went right by to score a layup off the dribble. Ella wrestled and scrapped for rebounds. She gave passers a target by using strong seals in the paint and finished drop-step pivots with power off two feet.

Ella, the post player for Catholic Central, continues to elevate her game every time she steps on the court. At the Ferris Team Camp, she anchored the defense with her shot-blocking ability, consistently protecting the rim and altering shots in the paint. She was strong on the glass, pulling down key rebounds and doing the dirty work inside. Offensively, she worked hard to gain inside position by sealing off defenders and creating space. Her presence was so impactful that when she missed a game, the difference in her team’s performance was immediately noticeable.
