Jaya was active in the passing lanes early for Catholic Central in the first quarter. She read the point guard’s eyes and jumped up like Aidan Hutchinson on the line of scrimmage multiple times to deflect passes to cutters. Jaya threw a great kick-out pass to a teammate spotting up in the corner for an assist and took a steal the other way with a burst for a breakaway layup. Jaya attacked the middle of the defense, spun, and drained the pull-up jumper. She took a DHO baseline around the defense, put her defender in jail, and beat the help for a two-foot finish at the rim. Jaya is a fiery two-way competitor and exciting playmaker who can play positions 1-4. She turned in a solid performance with 10 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Jaya delivered a knockout performance at The Expo last year. She took home First Team All-Showcase honors and Danyle’s MVP Award. Jaya was an aggressive and dominant two-way player on the court. She has explosive downhill acceleration when she penetrates and knocks down perimeter jumpers. Jaya is a relentless rebounder and scrappy defender. She’s a talented guard in the 2026 class, and we’d be happy to have her back at The Expo this year.

Jaya is set to take the floor in Hamilton, Ohio this weekend for the first live period with her MBA team, and she’s a name coaches need to keep on their radar. The athletic guard is a dynamic playmaker with tight handles, elite agility, and explosive leaping ability that allows her to regularly block shots – even against taller opponents. She’s a true three-level scorer who can fill it up from deep, attack off the bounce, and finish through contact at the rim. On top of that, she rebounds extremely well from the guard spot, often outworking bigger players on the glass. Expect her to turn heads this spring and summer – her upside is undeniable.
