About Elliana

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Eliana Barnes is a dynamic and versatile guard known for her high basketball IQ, relentless work ethic, and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. As a shooting guard, she stretches the defense with her smooth jumper and confident three-point shot. As a point guard, she controls the tempo, creates scoring opportunities for teammates, and thrives under pressure.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a competitive, focused, and team-first mentality to everything I do. I thrive in high-pressure moments, embrace challenges, and is always look for ways to get better. My positive attitude and strong leadership presence make me a motivator on and off the court, leading by example through hustle, discipline, and love for the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In addition to my dedication on the court, I take a lot of pride in my work in the classroom. I’ve earned Honor Roll recognition for several years in a row, which reflects how hard I work to be my best in everything I do. I believe being a great student-athlete means showing discipline, focus, and strong time management, both in school and in basketball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, I’ve developed strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I lead by example,bringing energy, focus, and positivity to every practice and game. I’ve learned how to communicate clearly with my teammates on and off the court, whether it’s calling out plays, encouraging others, or staying connected as a team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is pushing through self-doubt and staying confident when things don’t go my way on the court. There have been times when my shot wasn’t falling or I made mistakes in a game, and it was easy to get frustrated. But I’ve learned to stay composed, trust my training, and focus on the next play.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I want to be part of a competitive basketball program where I can keep growing as a player, contribute to the team’s success, and be surrounded by coaches and teammates who push me to be my best. Most of all, I want to be part of a community that feels like family, where I can learn, compete, and make a real impact.
