Coming off a strong AAU season with the Freeze, it came as no surprise that Engelhaupt shined at Sunday’s Sophomore ID Camp. With a smooth, consistent release on her shot, Ellie was knocking down corner threes all day long. The 5’7 guard has a quick trigger, allowing her to get shots off without much time or space. Ellie also displayed her court vision and passing capabilities, feeding the ball to her teammates both in the half court and in transition. On defense, Engelhaupt’s bounce and motor make her a pesky perimeter defender. She will likely be a key piece of the rotation for Blaine this winter.
