How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My basketball playing style is defined by teamwork, determination, and intensity. I take pride in being a true team player who is always willing to step into any role needed to help my team succeed. Whether that means creating opportunities for others, playing tough defense, or bringing energy and focus to every possession, I’m committed to doing whatever it takes.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I approach challenges much the way I approach basketball, always determined to give my best effort no matter the situation. My competitive mindset pushes me to constantly improve. Personality-wise, I bring encouragement, positivity and composure. My mentality is all about resilience, hard work, and leading by example.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Throughout high school, I have dedicated many hours to giving back to my community through a variety of volunteer activities. Each year, I’ve helped at youth soccer and basketball camps, sharing my love for sports and mentoring younger athletes. I have also been a part of the CWAC Sportsmanship conference. I have also received many scholastic athlete awards.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Sports have been a major influence in shaping me as a leader. As a team captain in both basketball and soccer, I learned how to motivate and support my teammates, lead by example, and keep the team focused on our goals. Leadership isn’t just about being vocal — it’s about listening, staying positive, and setting the tone through hard work and attitude. Competing in sports has me grow as a person.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Suffering a concussion was one of the toughest challenges I’ve faced as an athlete, but it ended up teaching me about resilience and perspective. Being sidelined forced me to see the game, and my team, from a different point of view. I learned to appreciate the mental side of competition, the importance of teamwork, and the value of supporting others even when I couldn’t physically contribute.
What type of college are you looking for?
After high school, I plan to major in child psychology with the goal of earning my master’s degree to become a Child Life Specialist. I have always had a passion for working with children and helping others. I am looking for a college that can support me in this along with the ability to continue to play basketball.
