Throughout her athletic career, she has not only played on the basketball court but also the soccer pitch. This past season, in Jimmy Tyson’s first season as coach, Newton was a key factor in SCISA 4A Palmetto Christian putting together a 18-10 season. Newton would play in 27 of the Eagles’ 28 games while averaging 7.9 points, 3.2 steals and 2.3 assists per contest. Making plays in the transition game and connecting on 3-pointers are merely two of the positive attributes to Newton’s game.
