Since moving across state lines from Missouri, E’Marriha Johnson E’Marriha Johnson 6'0" | SF/PF Greene County Tech | 2026 State AR has propelled herself as one of the best players in the entire state of Arkansas. Now, the Louisiana Tech commit will be looking to take her team to the title in her final year of high school.

During the regular season, Johnson averaged 22 points, 10 rebounds, 2.4 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game, all career-highs with the Lady Eagles. Her shooting has been ridiculous, hitting 58% of her shots from the floor and 71% from the charity stripe. Her percentage inside the arc this year was 61%.

Johnson is one of the most tenacious finishers in the state. There is not a soul who can consistently stop her when she has her sights set on the rim. If they do somehow come up with the stop, no worries, because she will grab her miss and put it back up and in. On the other end of the floor, Johnson is going to play some of the toughest defense the opposition will face all year.

GCT’s superstar junior is in her first season in Paragould, and she can chalk it up as a successful first season, taking her team to the 5A title game.

Though the Golden Eagles came up short, Johnson starred for her squad. She led all players with 12 rebounds, with 6 coming on the offensive end. She also added 15 points and 3 steals to her total. The junior shot 5/12 from the field and went to the free throw line 5 times. Most of her scoring came in the paint where she played bully ball against the taller Farmington defenders.

Johnson’s effort around the basket was infectious, as GCT outrebounded Farmington on the offensive glass. Her activity level on the defensive end was also noteworthy as she poked passes away and played solid on-ball defense.

Johnson started the playoffs on the right track with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals against Sheridan. In Greene County Tech’s semi-final victory over Mountain Home, Johnson only scored 9, but she pulled down 11 rebounds. She also recorded 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Johnson is one of the better finishers coming out of the 5A classification. Her athleticism allows her to sky over defenders and her strength allows her to absorb any body blows that come her way.

E’Marriha Johnson E’Marriha Johnson 6'0" | SF/PF Greene County Tech | 2026 State AR has been impressive in her first season with Greene County Tech, averaging 15.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 2.1 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game during the regular season. Johnson carries over that success into the postseason after GCT’s first round matchup.

Johnson had 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals against Sheridan. Greene County Tech defeated the Lady Yellowjackets 66-34, and in this victory, Johnson surpassed 1,000 career points.

The same goes for if she has her back to the basket, as she can turn and shoot over any defender. GCT will play the winner of Beebe and Greenwood, which takes place tomorrow.
