Expert Analysis
Hunter Keith | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
E’Miah Fields impacts the game with a smooth, controlled presence and an unselfish approach that elevates those around her. She attacks the rim with confidence, finishing with poise and a soft left handed touch. Fields has the ability to score with either hand on the break — a skill that makes her especially tough to defend in transition and in traffic. From the guard position, she rebounds well, showing instincts and effort on the glass, then quickly turns those possessions into opportunities by pushing the pace. Her court vision stands out, consistently making good reads and delivering the ball selflessly to teammates in scoring position. Offensively, she has a silky smooth left-handed jumper, giving her versatility on the offensive side of the ball. Fields overall game flows with purpose — efficient, composed, and impactful on multiple levels.

Fields had a very strong performance for Buford impacting the game on both ends of the floor finishing with a double-double. Fields did a good job getting downhill and attacking the basket on offense. Fields also showed the ability to knockdown the midrange jumper. She was very active on the offensive boards getting multiple rebounds and either converted putback layups or got fouled and went to the line. Fields played as hard as anyone on the court. She dove on the ground for loose balls on several occasions.

Lefty with a non-stop motor and inside-out scoring skill. Fields is relentless on the offensive glass and a confident mid-range shooter. Extending her range will be the next step. Hustler on defense. D-I offers should be around the corner.

E’miah was a force getting to the rim all game long. She secures the rock like a running back in that left hand and finished very well. She can shoot from the outside, get downhill with strength, and use those crafty lefty finishes to get buckets. Really like her energy and activity on the defensive end as well.

Up from No. 18: Smooth lefty. Gets to her spots. Rebounds well for her size. Can attack off the dribble and score off the catch.
