Another TKA kid, YES! Why is Emily a glue player? More like, why is she not? She does ALL of the little things on the basketball court. She doesn’t care how many points or how many minutes she plays. She does what is needed at any time for her team! She works extremely hard on every possession. She sets the hard screens. She rebounds at a high level. She provides her team with extra possessions. She gives 110% with her all out hustle. She’s a crucial piece on any team that she plays for! In the classroom, she currently holds a 3.9 GPA. Check out a highlight:

Forget stats, Atchley’s impact is felt far beyond the stat sheet! Emily continues to battle on the boards. She came up with one of the biggest rebounds on the offensive glass in the 4th quarter against Notre Dame to help TKA get a win in regions! After the tough offensive board, she found her open teammate and made a beautiful assist! Emily continues to be a fundamentally sound athlete that will box you out! Keep your eyes on this junior as she finishes this season and heads into AAU!

Emily is another kid that you just love. She’s a great teammate, and I first noticed her heart when she would dive on the floor for loose balls in pickup. Not many kids are willing to do that. She has developed an outside shot and with her length she will become a match up nightmare. She can hit the three, attack the rim, rebound well, and score off a post up. The question will soon be.. what can’t she do? We look forward to her continued growth as she continues to work hard.
