Emily McCutcheon had a remarkable freshman season with the Cedarville Lady, earning all-conference and all-state. I fully expect her to repeat her efforts in 2025-26.

After averaging 14.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game last season, McCutcheon lit up the AAU scene with Shock Hoops. She is a great scorer, able to create her shot from the outside and nail big time buckets, especially with the defense draped all over her. She has a quick first step, able to get by defenders and get into the paint to finish. She is also a great defender, making a living by intercepting passes and stripping ball-handlers.

McCutheon is a two-way star for Cedarville. On offense, she makes great plays on the outside, being a solid shooter once she gets her shot off in rhythm. She also makes great plays on the inside, scoring well in transition.

On defense, McCutheon intercepts passes and picks pockets, giving her team fastbreak offensive opportunities. If she is not stealing the ball, then she is probably sending it into the stands. She is tough to score on, and if she stays in front of her assignment for an entire play, then she will end up blocking that shot.
