About Emily
Expert Analysis
Jim Dabbelt | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Emily has a really strong inside/ out game, as she can post up, take a pass, and then dish it out for an open three. Great length, wingspan for days, the ability to defend the paint and the passing lanes.

Ritzer, who has verbally committed to play for Youngstown State, continues to raise her game- It doesn’t matter where she is on the court: from shooting 3’s to blocking shots in the paint, to kissing the ball off the backboard with up and under moves- she is a problem! (Below, #25)

Ritzer creates a lot of headaches for coaches attempting to stop her highly affective game! She can hurt you offensively in knocking down long range shots, posting up on the block, or any lob passes in the paint. Defensively her hands are like velcro when it comes to grabbing rebounds! And at 6’2, you can betcha she can block shots from Licking County to Fairfield County!

Emily moves up inside the top 20 and is currently ranked #19 in Ohio. I expect her game to continue to grow as she heads into her final spring/summer on the circuit. She is a very headstrong player who can cut to the rim and score and run the floor. Active hands on the defensive end of the floor, she is a difference maker!

She is such a force in the paint and never lets pressure when it comes to the ball cause her to lose her flow of the game. This double double machine makes it look like she invented basketball! Excellent catch and shoot that can be made anywhere around the paint, swiftly moves around the rim, and good floor running. She executes defense well, has stable hands and feet that are always ready to shoot the ball, and gets a lot of deflections in the paint because of her length. She really impressed me with her hard work she puts in the game. She has made her way up in the rankings from the watchlist to number 19.

She is such a powerhouse in the paint and doesn’t let being pressured with the ball get her out of her groove. She has great footwork on the block, steady hands and feet that are always prepared to shoot the ball and defensive execution! Stops the ball and attacks the open seams of the defense.
