Simpson had one heck of a game just a few months ago on February 16th, because she knocked down 12 triples in that contest, which is tied with McGuire for the fourth most made threes in a game in state history. Simpson is also tied with another former Mount Vernon-Enola great in that category: Ashley Hutchcraft, who is also the current head coach of the Conway Lady Wampus Cats (fun fact of the day).

During that game, Simpson was absolutely feeling it in the first half, cashing in 8 3-pointers in just that half alone. Though this record hasn’t been recorded for long, Simpson’s 8 triples in that half is the most in state history.
