How could I not start off this list with Ms. Rebound herself, Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA . The Nodaway Valley senior just eclipsed the all-time record for rebounds for 5 on 5 in the state of Iowa! She is simply smashing the boards this season, pulling in 13.2 per game (6 of them being offensive). On offense the small forward is scoring 14 points per game and doing so at an efficient rate of 42%FG. As if her impact stops there, Emma also averages almost 3 steals and 2 blocks per game. Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA is a consistent, reliable threat for Nodaway Valley, who has their sights set on a deep post season run this season partly thanks to her relentless efforts across the floor.

Nodaway Valley will compete in a big game tonight when they take on Martensdale-St Marys in a tough road environment. The Wolverines have a target on their back while they sit at 16-1 so far this season. One of the major reasons for their continued success is the play from their Forward – Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA . Boswell transferred in this Winter for her Senior season after her previous school got shut down and I’m sure the Wolverines are happy about that. Boswell has been a staple within the middle for this group throughout their first 17 contests, averaging a double-double in points-rebounds and frankly, she has been unstoppable inbetween-the-blocks overall. No one can handle her mixture of size and physicality, leading to a lot of production. If you want to see a highly anticipated matchup this evening, look at this game between these two programs. No matter the records, these two always seem to battle it out with a barn burner of a game so I wouldn’t be shocked if that were the case yet again this evening.

We had some questions coming into this season about

but she has gone right ahead and answered those questions with flying colors. The biggest one being, can she compete and put up convincing numbers while playing with another very talented PG/SG by her side (

). The answer to that question is a resounding, YES! Boswell is holding it down this Winter for Nodaway Valley and the Wolverines. She is a Top Five player throughout the state in total Rebounds and that includes all Classes and age-levels so you know that she is truly cleaning up off of missed attempts by the bucket with her high motor and perseverance. If this group wants to make a State run in a few weeks, Boswell has to show up every night. If she can do that, this group becomes really dangerous and a team that I would keep a close eye on as we move close to the State Tournament.

The new landscape at Nodaway Valley is going to be a very interesting one over the next eight months. They add some ballers in The Boswell sisters and that could help them all the way to the 2A State Tournament in the end. Their force in the middle will be Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA , the state leader in Rebounds from a year ago. Boswell comes over after her previous school closed down and she is ready to make a difference in a big way. I expect this to be someone who can absolutely dominate some games throughout this Winter season. She is going to have size and strength on most matchups and that will help them clean up the glass on both ends as a group compared to years past. If they play a strategic game each night, they should be able to take it one day at a time and come out successful on the other side.

and Nodaway Valley High School are going to surprise some this Winter with the product they will bring to the floor. Boswell is a transfer moving into her Senior year and she is going to bring some fire in the middle of the lane for the Wolverines. At right around 6’0, this is someone who can take over a contest with her presence in the middle. Not only is she taller, she has athletic ability to pair along with it and a high motor. If you take that into consideration and the fact that she will have

Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA has been the state of Iowa’s leading rebounder for years at this point. Boswell only stands a 5’11 while playing the SF position but over her career she is averaging some insane numbers. Just last year she scored 18 PPG, while averaging just under 22 RPG on the way to an overall 14-9 record with her Bulldog team. I’d be hard pressed to find someone who is going to put up more numbers than her this upcoming season. Considering she is going to be a senior with three years of varsity experience under her belt, she should have all the confidence in the world to go out there and kill it.

Mark my words. Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA over the next 12 months is going to put together the best basketball of her career. Boswell has proven over her Varsity years that she is a handful to deal with down-low. Whenever she is playing and whoever she is competing against, she always seems to put up really good numbers out of the post in the scoring, rebounding, and defending categories. It’s the mixture of her smart finishing ability, quick reactions, body control, and willingness to mix it up with bigger or smaller opponents. With OM closing down, kids will be looking to transfer schools and Boswell is in that conversation. From what I’m hearing, she is going to be joining up with another VERY promising talent in the 2026 Class at Nodaway Valley. It’ll be exciting to see what their group will be able to put together. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I would be doing this article a disservice if I didn’t mention Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA . Last season for Orient-Macksburg the sophomore small forward absolutely dominated the stat sheet – with 19.5 points, 19.8 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game. She also averaged the most defensive rebounds and second-most offensive rebounds in the state. With the graduation of the Bulldogs’ second-leading scorer in Kinsey Eslinger, I can only imagine the numbers Emma is going to put up this season.

From my understanding, Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA is a multi-sport athlete, that thrives off of her mixture of athletic ability, hand-eye coordination, and calculated play-styles. Boswell is a scoring and rebounding force. We have seen some impressive stat lines over the past couple of years but Boswell last Winter put up one of the most insane stat lines that I’ve ever seen. She averaged just over 19 PPG and just over 19 RPG. Let that sink in. 19 PPG and 19 RPG. Any way you look that, those numbers are staggering. Boswell will be walking into her Junior season, looking for another memorable Winter to build on. If it’s anything like what she has done in the past, I’m sure she is going to impress.

The presence and dominance that Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5'11" | SF Nodaway Valley | 2026 State IA of Orient-Macksburg has demonstrated over her high school career has been impressive so far. It seems like every season that Boswell takes the floor, she is a top leader in rebounding and scoring underneath the basket. This season for example, she is averaging 21.1 PPG on 43% shooting, while grabbing 20 RPG throughout her teams first 11 contests. Some pretty wild numbers for a team that averages 37.9 PPG and 35.6 RPG as a whole. The best way I could describe this situation to someone else is, what you see is what you get. Boswell stands at 5’11, with her team’s next tallest player being 5’7 so this is kind of what you would expect. The tallest and most coordinated player for this group is putting up big numbers and because of it, her team has won some games this winter. Don’t get me wrong, basketball is a team sport but without the efforts of Boswell, this situation would be completely different.
