in a conference matchup recently where she scored a quick four points pulling up with her jump stop then going to work off a steal on the full court press. She did a nice job attacking the lane to open up the court for her teammates hitting them on the block. Her efficiency on defense leading players into a trap and causing turnovers was definitely important for her team. She had a big and 1 late in the game driving in the paint and making the bucket through a tough foul, and she showed off her shooting ability with a nice step back three.

has been racking up double-doubles this season with her ability to score on all levels. She has a knack for getting to the rim focusing only on the bucket and not letting defenders slow her down. She’s a knockdown shooter from around the perimeter, and she is sure to get good assists getting the ball inside to her teammates. Her handles are sure to get her some open space on the court.

has been a consistent performer all of her high school career being able to handle the ball well and get to the rim no matter who is assigned to guard her. She sees the floor well knowing how to make the right pass to her teammate or find the opening to put up her shot. She has some great range with her shot being able to knock it down from all around the perimeter.

Montanari makes positive plays happen when she is on the court. She is long, she is athletic, she makes great decisions, she competes on defense, and she has a pretty outside shot that goes in. Montanari is a special player prepared for an awesome junior season.

Montanari is a long athlete with an amazing feel for the game. She is an outstanding passer and she can handle the basketball extremely well. Montanari drives hard to score at the goal or to dish to an open teammate. She can also shoot the basketball. Montanari has a beautiful jump shot that goes in with consistency from two or from three. On defense, she uses her length to block shots, create deflections, or force steals. Montanari is an elite prospect who has already collected multiple Division 1 offers.

Emma Montanari is continuing to lead her East Lincoln team in the playoffs packing the stat sheet with her ability to make plays. She has a way of getting to the rim rolling the ball off her fingertips with ease, and she sees the floor so well knowing exactly when to time her passes hitting her teammates right in the hands. Her finesse handling the ball translates well to defense being able to pick the pocket of her opponents, and she certainly takes advantage scoring off of these turnovers.

She has been competing against high level competition already, and she knows how to make offensive plays based on what the defense shows her. She’s smooth handling the ball changing directions quickly to create her own space or make some for her teammates to score.

Emma is a PG whose basketball IQ is way ahead of her time. She also brings so much toughness to the court. She will find a way to get to the basket by any means necessary. She demands attention when she has the ball in her hands because she is such a dynamic ball handler and knows when she needs to get others involved and when she needs to take over. During Saturday’s game, Emma continuously got to the free throw line as she stayed in attack mode without losing control of the ball. We look forward to watching her play over the next several years.

She knows how to read the floor and have her way with the ball attacking the basket and drawing defenders towards her to make the dish or battle through contact for some points. She is a knockdown shooter from around the perimeter, too, being able to score on all levels.
