A very resourceful guard that’s levelheaded in her decision-making, yet assertive. It’s seemingly rare that she gets rattled by tough defenders. Olausson relies on her prepared offensive skillset that’s well-suited for carrying different tempos of the game. Emma is a constant threat to the defense due to her domineering 2-way playmaking ability. Her length and size while providing primary ballhandling prowess often takes the defense by surprise. She also uses that wingspan as a defender herself something that makes her a wonderful aid to teammates in help-side positions. One thing for certain is there aren’t too many players like Olausson around; she’s a stunning player that is the #4 ranked player at the combo guard spot.

Emma is a spectacular combo guard talent that has looked absolutely special in preseason play. She moves fluidly and uses a ton of hesitation moves revolved around ball manipulation that make her a hard cover, especially at 5’11. The length combined with the refined skill while being a primary ballhandler empower her as a playmaker. Olausson’s style of play tends to intimidate most defenders because of her nonstop onslaught of attacks. It’s rare to find an offensive talent of Emma’s caliber diving on the floor for loose balls, but that’s exactly what Olausson does. She seeks out opportunities as a defender to make plays on the ball too. Expect a major season from the high usage Hamden Hall star.

Emma is coming in as the #2 combo guard ranked in the class. The recently committed Olausson is a very intriguing prospect with a ton of game. The long and agile 5’11 guard has a compounded handle that is beautifully composed with elite attacking moves on top of fundamentally sound movements. Once Emma attacks a defender’s top foot, they are in a world of trouble in an attempt to recover. The combo moves Olausson can pull off within the flow of the offense is magnificent to observe. She knows how to play the right way, but her masterful game is a pleasure to watch carve defenses up. Once getting downhill, Emma can see and hit all her options with precision passes. The shooting Olausson provides is next level though. She can slide to an off-ball position and act as a sniper within the halfcourt or sprinting wide for transition 3-pointers on the wing. All types of actions can be composed for a player like Emma which is why she always remains a threat. Olausson is the real deal and will be in a lead role this year at Hamden Hall.

I saw Emma play at the New England top 250 expo in September. She is a 5-10 combo guard, who can play point guard or shooting guard. She has good size to match her skill set. She uses her length to her advantage, keeping her hands up making it tough for players to shoot over her. She can attack off the dribble, and she also cuts hard to the basket. Emma has good potential in her game and is showing she is a college level prospect.
