She hits the gas pedal in transition, consistently putting pressure on the defense. She does a nice job losing defenders with well-timed jump stops before finishing composed layups. Offensively, she makes quality entry passes to the low block and effectively slips through gaps along the baseline, squeezing the defense before jump-stopping and popping for high-percentage looks.

Sanchez gave me a good look the first time I saw her, which was a year and a half ago, see evaluation here yet I overemphasize the importance of “on the court ” progression. She scored off the dribble using a deceptive first step yet her court vision and jumper created some problems. On top of that, her “on-the-ball” pressure was a big plus

Sanchez was another athletic guard who brought IT on both ends. She showed she could score off the dribble as well as from the outside, “catch and shoot” included and she did a good job defensively, even came away with 4 steals
