In day one of the action at the Fort Bend ISD girls basketball Christmas tournament, here are a few players that put on game-changing perfomances and were complete difference makers for their team. Steele put on a post clinic in the paint, displaying excellent footwork and a variety of finishes around the basket. She stayed composed and made strong reads while facing double- and triple-teams as the game tightened. Effective at relocating from the elbow to repost deep on the block, she converted with up-and-under moves and finished through contact for and-ones. Patient and strong with the ball, she consistently held her ground, and her conditioning was evident throughout extended minutes.     Wright played with relentless hustle and served as a spark plug in a close game. A reliable spot-up three-point shooter—especially dangerous from the corner pocket—she stretched the defense and delivered timely shots. She also showed solid court vision, consistently recognizing when to reverse the ball to the weak side and keep the offense flowing.     Tidsell brings a real subtlety to her game, showing exceptional patience with her back to the basket on the low block as she reads and reacts to the defense. A consistent rebounder on both ends of the floor, she recorded eight boards in the first quarter alone before totals became difficult to track.
