When competing against the Eagles, an opposing team and coaching staff’s top priority has to be keeping the 4A team’s star guard (who was offered by Averett University) in check. Host school Carolina did not have too many answers on Friday night. Along with showcasing how effective she is as a ball handler, Wardlaw showcased that she has a brings a pass-first mentality to her game and will get her teammates involved in a flow of a game. Defensively, she will also keep her hands outstretched and is a vocal leader. A midrange jump shot as well as transition play proved to be two other strong suits to her game. She finished with 16 points in what was a dominant Eagles victory over the host Trojans.

Wardlaw is back for senior leadership this coming season for the Lady Eagles. Erianna brings good quickness to the floor from end to end. She looks to excel in the transition game and keeping the ball low to the floor. Wardlaw will need some help from Ty Johnson this season on the Lady Eagles roster to make some noise.

Earlier this year, the signature standout for the 4A Eagles announced she received an offer from Division III Averett out of Virginia. The Cougars apparently love what Wardlaw has given the Eagles throughout her career. She was one of the top performing 2023s at Dawn Staley’s team camp at the University of South Carolina. If Wardlaw has the ball in her hands, she will put her speed and quickness to good use in getting to the rim after sailing past a number of opposing defenders. Wardlaw has a knack for finishing at the rim and takes care of the ball to limit turnovers. Her great dribbling skills prove to be another major asset to her team. Organizing a halfcourt offense, rebounding, interior play and the transition game are a few of her other strong suits.
