Philips delivered a standout performance in the quarterfinal win over Woodson, knocking down five three-pointers and scoring 21 points. She ran the floor well in transition and showed the ability to absorb contact while attacking the basket. Defensively, her length allowed her to switch across multiple positions, giving Hayfield added flexibility on both ends of the floor.

Eva Philips Eva Philips 5'10" Hayfield Secondary | 2026 State VA is a great all-around player for Hayfield. Eva is a reliable spot-up shooter, and she competes on the defensive end. She has great defensive versatility, and she does a good job rebounding. Eva had 20 points against Justice and did a good job filling the stat sheet earlier in the week against Mount Vernon. 

Capable shooter and an active defender on the perimeter makes her a player that you can keep on the basketball court! Her shooting forces defenses to run her off her spot and she can finish going to the basket as well. On the defensive end, good energy and activity allow her to effectively guard multiple positions. Had a good showing at The Scott Allen Showcase versus a good  Catholic team scoring 15 points 6 rebounds with 2 three pointers made!
