With a major injury to her team, Evelyn’s production was forced to be increased, and all she did was lead her team into the state final four. Average 24 points, six rebounds and six steals per game. Heading to Youngstown State next season, she did some major offensive damage to everybody they played this year.

The 4th ranked point guard in her class in Ohio is geared up and ready to make a huge impact for Copley during the state tournament! The Youngstown State commit has sharpened her skills and chemistry with her teammates each year for Copley. Scoring or passing she is a star on the court! If you think she impressed in the regular season, just wait to the playoffs!

The Youngstown State University commit has hit some pretty big milestones in 2026- very recently hit 1000 career points, and Evelyn hit a new record by surpassing 400 assists! I love watching players grow their game; and every year McKnight comes back better with sharper skills, stronger defense, and a basketball IQ that finds ways to come out on top. She is going to be fun to watch at the next level! McKnight was player of the game.

The Youngstown State recruit has proven over the years that she is ready for the next level, as her game has progressed more and more each season. Now that she’s a senior, she looks to grab the leadership role and run with it! Phenomenal floor general, outstanding vision and can contribute to her team in many ways.

She is a solid next-level prospect….just a ball hawk on defense, love her with the basketball in her hands. Able to show solid leadership, good handles. One of the better players in Northeast Ohio. 

Youngstown State is getting a great one in McKnight! Killer crossover and hesitation moves with the ball that make her difficult to guard. Sweet pitter patter dribble that gets her from the top of the key to the basket in a blink! Terrific shot creator.

She’s everywhere, at the right place at the right time! Active both with and without the ball, with outstanding court vision. She anticipates the game well and plays one step ahead. Finished strong on both sides of the floor. She has incredible ball handling skills. She is extremely intelligent and patient for the game. She always handles and guards the ball and is able to withstand pressure from the ball and make plays happen even when the clock isn’t on her side. She gets the job done. She’s moving up to number 16 from number 18. Offers including Walsh, Loyola, Wright State.

She’s all over the place! Strong court vision and energetic both in and out of the paint. Plays a step ahead because she can read the game very well. A player who, in my opinion, could truly succeed at the next level of basketball, complete at both sides of the court. She really has the patience and IQ for the game. Handles and protects the ball at all times and can handle on ball pressure. She is sitting with offers from Youngstown State, Bellarmine, Ashland, and Findley. She also made the E40 and Run for the Roses all tournament team. She climbs up from number 21 to number 18.

She is everywhere! Excellent court vision and active with and without the ball. Plays a step ahead as she is good at anticipating the game. Complete at both ends of the floor, a player who I feel could really excel at the next level of basketball. (Feature photo above)
