These are the games where Higgins will have ample opportunity to shine. The sniper-like capacity will be called upon in a game where Berkshire will need some offensive firepower. Higgins doesn’t just throw up anything, she finds shots within the offense and finds a groove quickly. Considering her proficiency to shoot within the halfcourt, Rivers will need refute her abilities early on which can be a hard ask. Higgins is a patient player that can come alive at any time because of her unruffled nature. The senior knows exactly where she can affect the game in developed sets. Look for her to be a reliable outlet for lane penetrators as well as a solid defender that’ll hold her own. Evi can be a contributing factor to Berkshire pulling out the win.

Higgins’ exposure to NEPSAC and high-level play in AAU has served her well so far this season. She’s a big reason why the team is now 10-0. Higgins has found ways outside of being a shooter to contribute to winning basketball. Evi has made it a point to get on the glass, as well as advancing the ball for efficient offense. Not to mention the solid team defense she’s provided thus far. Higgins high defensive IQ allows her to be in the proper position to help hinder the opposing team’s offense. She’s currently ranked right within the top 50 players in the class, but with this solid play, she could easily climb even higher.

With shooting being such an important staple from the guard position, especially in New England, Higgins stands out of the bunch with one of the best pure strokes from beyond the arch. Although Evi offers a lot more creation than the average scorer, her shooting is next level. Over the weekend Higgins displayed a solid well-rounded game through cutthroat play. She was serving as a rebounder, facilitator, defender and of course scoring the basketball as usual. Higgins is also a defender on the floor. She remains active and uses her hands to disrupt a great deal of passes. Evi is a player that should be on school’s radar after a successful AAU season and an exemplary swing of momentum going into the school season.

Evi is a knock down shooter who can quickly get it going. A long-range sniper who consistently hit 3s in her games this weekend. What was surprising was Higgins’ ability to hit midrange shots and also get to the line. Her aggressive and strong takes to the rim were staggering. Evi was able to hit easy shots throughout the game by simply moving without the ball. Defensively, Higgins was solid and aggressive all weekend long. She was able to three quarter shade players attempting to fight for position on the block and she was up on her toes as a perimeter defender as well.
Higgins is a constant for her team and although typically deemed as a shooter, she has so much more to her game.

Evi is a flat-out sniper and it was on full display this weekend. Evi was unloading 3-pointer after 3-pointer for the Showstoppers. She was shooting a high percentage from deep with mostly catch and shoot 3-pointers, but she sprinkled in quality shots on the move. Higgins was coming off screens with the ball in her hand and letting it fly without hesitancy. Higgins gets her feet underneath her and keeps a high follow through, a true mark of a shooter, but she brought so much more to the floor. Evi was attacking and taking the open lane when offered for some valuable looks at the basket that got her some quick layups. Higgins was also hounding the opposing teams better offensive players that turned into some turnovers and she also had a couple blocks that made some statements. In summary, Evi had herself a weekend that revealed why she is a premier talent in New England.

Higgins is a physical post presence who makes her living in the paint and cleaning the glass. She has stretch ability beyond the perimeter and relentless motor on the glass to create second chance scoring opportunities. She can protect the rim and alter shots with her rim protection. She has quick release and good shooting mechanics to get the ball out quickly and accurately.
