Faith showed her ability to score efficiently at multiple levels. She got to the basket with ease, finishing with six points inside the arc, and also displayed her range by knocking down a three-pointer—showing a clear understanding of her game and when to pick her spots.

She added to her production at the line as well, going 2-for-3 on free throws. With her inside-out scoring ability and efficiency, Faith continues to prove she can contribute in a variety of ways offensively.

In order to win, one must have Faith. It appeared as if whenever Yon had the ball, she was a threat to make a successful play. She combines talent, a high basketball IQ and veteran instincts. As she heads into her junior season, her athletic career has also included a stint on the volleyball court. Yon also places emphasis on rebounding which is not always a common attribute of 5-foot-6 guards. Yon is a gifted attacker of the rim who also has a 3-point shot as part of her repertoire and can get out in transition. She competed in 21 games last season for Durham School of the Arts and averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 steals. The Bulldogs are moving to 5A beginning this season. 

Faith Yon Faith Yon 5'6" | CG Durham School Of The Arts | 2027 NC is another player who will go all out each time she gets to lace up her basketball shoes.  She is sure to score some buckets, but she makes other contributions with her rebounding and steals as well.  She knows how to attack the basket and score on some solo fast breaks, and she can settle down her offense knocking down a shot from around the perimeter.

Yon is a dynamic player who can change a game on offense, on defense, or on the glass. A year ago, Yon scored over 15 points per game while forcing over 3 steals and grabbing nearly 6 rebounds per night. She has a high motor and is an elite competitor on the court.

Yon is fun to watch on the basketball court. She makes things happen on offense with her elite speed and her ability to handle the ball. On defense, she is a pest. Yon creates steals and pressures the ball handler with urgency. When Yon forces a turnover, she can score at full speed or she can create contact and get to the foul line. A season ago, she earned over 7 trips to the free through line per game. Yon is an elite player who scores. She also rebounds well from the guard position.

Faith Yon Faith Yon 5'6" | CG Durham School Of The Arts | 2027 NC is an excellent defender going all over the court making sure her opponents can’t get by her, and she anticipates passes well jumping in to grab some steals.  On the offensive side of the court, she can handle the ball well showing off some nice moves to create separation which she uses to put up her own shot or find her open teammates hitting them in stride.  She does a little bit of everything even getting inside for rebounds.
