Antilla’s release is as quick as you’ll find. It doesn’t take much space, and if you lose focus for even a second, the shot is already gone – and usually through the net. Fiona (pictured above) plays with a strong base and keeps the ball tight on the bounce, which makes her tough to pressure. When defenders crowd her, she’s able to get by them in a hurry and finish with control at the rim. She brings that same edge on defense. Active hands, solid positioning, and a clear understanding of how to disrupt without fouling. She set the tone on both ends for North Tartan during the tournament and never let up. Her consistency and pace stood out. With that kind of play, she’s building real momentum heading into a big summer before her senior year.
