Few kids have as much versatility as McLain, and people may not know that because she plays at a small private school in Southeast Wisconsin and plays her AAU ball in Illinois. She’s a physical kid who has enough quickness to get by kids off the dribble and finish through contact, and she can knock down mid-range and perimeter jumpers regularly. She’s a scholarship-level prospect.

Players who can be the focal point of an offense stand out quickly, especially when what they do leads to wins. McLain was an excellent passer and a tough-shot maker last season, which led them to the brink of a Regional Title this past season. The 6’0 wing showed an ability to make plays on both ends of the floor and was trusted playing up an age level with Midwest Elite this past AAU season.

The St. Joseph Catholic wing has continued to improve in settings that most wouldn’t be able to. McLain played on a team that wasn’t among the top in the Metro Classic when arriving. Those kids worked to become one of the better teams in the Metro Classic. In the AAU world, McLain has bounced back and forth with the 2026 and 2025 Midwest Elite Meanstreets EYBL teams and found ways to help those teams compete. She’s played different roles on all those teams and still been a kid who’s been a valuable piece to any group she’s been with. The deeper you dive into her playing history, the more impressive her accomplishments seem. She’s a worker, and the type of player programs would like in their facilities daily.

In Kenosha St. Joe’s conference, the offensive environment is conducive for elite-level offensive players. McLain has had to pick and choose times to attack against zones that pack it in on her team, and she showed flashes of tough shot-making and passing that opened up the floor. She’s a physical 5’11 or 6’0 wing that will catch some eyes this summer and beyond.

One of the most complete athletes in the gym on Sunday. McLain is as versatile as they come. Her skillset is based off her athleticism, but you can tell when its all aligned that she will be a problem for teams to deal with. She can score from all three levels, comfortable from almost anywhere behind the arc and her aggression is felt on both sides of the ball at all times. Her energy and motor cant go unrecognized. Frankie is going to be a name to know in Wisconsin.
