About Gabriella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a combo guard who plays both ends of the floor with high energy. I’m aggressive on defense, love pushing the pace in transition, and have a strong handle and court vision to create for teammates. I’m vocal on the court, competitive, and constantly working to improve. My goal is always to make winning plays and bring leadership to the team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a competitive mindset and always push myself to get better. I’m the kind of player who takes pride in doing the little things, like playing tough defense, communicating, and bringing energy every day. I love being coached and I’m always looking for ways to help my team succeed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of basketball, I focus a lot on academics and being a leader at school. I’ve been recognized for my hard work in the classroom, and I try to bring the same discipline and focus I have on the court into everything I do. I'm a part of National Honor Society. I’m always looking for ways to grow and contribute, whether it’s helping younger players or supporting teammates off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, I’ve really developed my leadership and communication skills. Whether it’s being vocal on defense or encouraging teammates when things get tough, I’ve learned how important it is to lead by example and keep the team connected. I’ve also grown a lot in terms of discipline and time management, balancing school and training. Outside of sports, I’ve been involved in Lifeline & FCA.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I faced was injuring my knee during my freshman year and missing the last few weeks of the season. It was really tough mentally and physically, but I committed to my rehab, stayed connected with my team, and focused on getting stronger. The experience taught me patience, resilience, and how to lead from the sidelines. Now, I play with even more gratitude and appreciation.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can challenge myself both academically and athletically. I want a strong basketball program with coaches who will push me to grow and a team culture that feels like family. Academically, I’m undecided on a major so I’m also looking for a school that supports student-athletes and offers good resources in that area.
