Gabrielle Hurtado created well off the dribble and consistently looked to put pressure on the defense. She was able to use her handle to get into the paint and create opportunities for herself and others.

Hurtado is the quintessential guard who makes the right plays offensively and gets after it defensively. She plays with a high motor and is always around the ball, battling for rebounds and loose balls. Hurtado does a great job of anticipating passes and deflecting them, creating instant offense from those turnovers. Sometimes these little details get lost in pick-up scrimmages, but this scout noticed them. She had a good performance at this year’s Freshmen Showcase.
