Giammalva also proudly sports green and gold during the high school season – the green and gold of Myrtle Beach, that is. She will be one of three Seahawks that will be on hand at this year’s SCBCA Elite Camp. The Seahawks have been known to be a 4A team but spent the last couple of seasons in the 5A (Division 2) ranks in an all-Horry County region. Giammalva helped Myrtle Beach to an 11-win season in 2025-26 plus a tournament berth after getting in the win column on only three occasions in 2024-25. The Seahawks can be expected to continue that positive trajectory between being a winner of transfer season and a returning Giammalva.

For much of the decade, opposing teams looked at Myrtle Beach as if the Seahawks were an automatic win. Last season, Giammalva helped Myrtle Beach to its first double-digit winning campaign since the 2019-20 season. Myrtle Beach also qualified for the 5A Division 2 state tournament and is returning to the 4A ranks. As a two guard, one would expect Giammalva to connect on many 3-point attempts but she also can be a defensive playmaker as well. A midrange jump shot is part of her overall offensive repertoire as well and she also thrives as a playmaker in the transition game.
