Gia was a difference maker for Tawas at the Au Sable Shootout. She created space with swift spin dribbles and made great dump-off passes to open teammates as the defense committed to her drives. Gia worked hard on defense to pressure the ball and created many steals. She kept her eyes up on the perimeter and made accurate overhead entry passes. Gia attacked downhill with a burst to score a contested layup and took a defensive rebound the length of the court to score an impressive layup with her left hand through contact. She would be an exciting guard to watch at our Freshman Showcase in August.
