The Brookfield Academy post player caught my attention over the high school season and did a nice job around the basket on both ends of the floor. Peterson continued that success with her 1 on 1 Milwaukee group all spring and summer. The lefty did the fundamentals well in her minutes and is a reliable player who can do everything a coach may want. She’s a little younger, but will be interesting to see develop over the next few years.

The Brookfield Academy post player has been solid each time I’ve seen her play this spring and summer. I was impressed with her when I watched her play with her high school team this past winter, and she has continued to play well during this grassroots season. Peterson has a solid touch around the basket and has the physicality to play through contact. I also liked her ability to rebound and box out around the basket.

There aren’t many post players who buy into playing in the paint as early as Peterson has. The Brookfield Academy product had a solid sophomore campaign this past season. After seeing her play twice, I left impressed. The lefty showed she can play through contact and finish around the rim. However, I loved that she could contribute to a press break and make good reads with the ball.
