About Grace

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My best skill is the ability to shoot the ball. I'm on pace to be a top 5 shooter in school history. I can create my own shot off of closeouts and can post up guards, scoring with either hand in the post. Strong 3-point shooter that has deep range from behind the arc and spot up shooter with quick release. I can attack the paint, draw defenders and make quick passes to teammates for 3-pointers.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a competitive personality that stems from my years of playing rec, junior high, high school and AAU basketball. I strive to be the best I can be on and off the court always focused on self-improvement.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've been selected to serve as a member of the Sylvania Northview Chapter of the National Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've learned over the years that you have to be 100% all-in on your team's core values to succeed, not only as a person, but also as a team. I try to set the tone at practice always bringing positive energy to the team. Positive energy sets the mood and effort given.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

On 12/15/23, nine games into my sophomore season, I tore my ACL and meniscus. Last year, after having surgery in January, I was dedicated to getting mentally and physically ready to come back and play my junior season. It was a long road to recovery which took ten months, but hard work and perseverance paid off. I was awarded 1st Team All-District ,1st Team All-NLL and Honorable Mention All-State.

She plays with passion and energy and puts up a lot of effort, she has a impressive catch and shoot shot. She has good court vision and defensive anticipation to distribute the ball. Very capable of managing the boards and putting a body on someone. She climbs up to number 52 from number 61 in the rankings.

Playing together with Jenna will make Northview young but talented. Coach told Jim that Grace can shoot the lights out and is likely the best shooter he has ever had, She isn’t your typical freshman, she has a great feel for the game. Can finish at the rim. She is a scholarship type of player if she keeps working.
