Mooney fits right in with the fire power at Air Academy. She uses her height well to slash through the paint to her scoring opportunities on the blocks and high post. Mooney is very good from both areas on the floor. She isnt afraid to battle inside to earn free throws or grab rebounds. As a freshman, her mid-randge game is consistent, she can even step behind the arch for a 3pt when open. She is getting great in-game experience with some of the state’s best players. On defense, Grace is tough. She owns her postioning well on bigger posts players and is always stalking for defensive boards. She has quick feet and hands and can apply pressure in full and half court to help get turnovers for the Kadets. Mooney will be one to watch as she takes the floor as a freshman during Air Academy’s playoff run.
