Expert Analysis
Steve Quattrocchi | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
One of the top scorers in the state, Wilder is scoring over 24 points per game and shooting 51/41/75 for a Bell squad that has been up and down this season. Bell goes as Gracie-Jo goes and if she’s at her best in February and March, they’ll be a tough out in the postseason.

Wilder has been a well-known name for a while now and if you’ve seen her play, you know why. She is an elite scorer and she uses her length very well on both ends of the floor. She is a great finisher around the basket, but can stretch all the way out to the perimeter with her driving and shooting abilities.
2022-23 Season Stats: 19.5 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 53.7% FG (overall), 33.7% 3pt FG, 77% FT

Wilder is another stat stuffer on this list. Her length is special and the way she uses it is even more special. She is a strong shot blocker and she is also constantly coming up with steals. Wilder can score inside or out and she shot an impressive 53.7% overall this past season. She also averaged 19.5 PPG and 8.4 RPG. She’s capable of getting a double-double in every single game she plays in and she’s also capable of scoring in large bunches. Wilder is continuously growing her game and is definitely a name to continue watching for.

Wilder filled up the stat sheet as much, if not better, than everyone that participated in this year’s 2A State Championships. She was extremely impressive all-around. She is so long, but also has a ton of guard skills, so she’s as versatile as they come. She can truly be effective inside or out. All of Wilder’s stats stood out to me, but one of the most staggering stats I saw for the tournament is that she shot 70% from 3 in Bell County’s 2 games. As far as her full stat line goes, in Game 1, she had 34 points, 9 steals, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks. In the next game, Wilder finished with 25 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks, and an assist.

Wilder has a lot of length and athleticism to go along with her skills. She uses her length really well to alter shots around the basket as a defender and she also can come up with blocks around the rim. Wilder is a great rebounder and she crashes the boards strong. She doesn’t give up on plays and will continuously fight on the boards. She really runs the floor well and she has excellent hands. Wilder makes some impressive catches and she finishes at the rim. Her drives to the basket are really hard to stop. While she is really good at finishing around the basket, she also can step out and knock down shots. She shot the ball at a high percentage last season (50.7% overall) and should average a double-double this season with no problems.
