About Graylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fast guard. Has to play point for her local club team, but would thrive even more as a 2 or 3. Excellent man-to-man defender. Great at trapping the ball and help defense. Rebounds out of her position very well. Slasher. Handles pressure well. If her teammate is open she will get them the ball. She loves to steal, no look pass, and sees the open shot well.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

She loves competition, wants to play good teams. She keeps a level head just plays her game. She is a team player. She truely loves the game and loves the fast pace. She will leave everything on the court she never gives up or backs down. She wants to be coached on how to improve. She listens and works hard.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Her teachers recognize her attitude and leadership skills in the classroom. She has been selected student of the month.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Graylee and her family take cancer families to Packer games. Graylee helps the families feel comfortable at the event and have a good time to forget about cancer for a day. She is a leader in the classroom as many teachers have sent home emails stating. She is seen as the leader on her sports teams.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Graylee lost her dad to cancer at age 9. She layed next to him when he took his last breath. She bravely played a song on her violin and read a poem at his funeral. She misses him everyday and has to work through the grief but takes it in stride. She has a lot of grit because of it.

What type of college are you looking for?

She's in 7th grade so too early to say.
