The Kohler native is a player with plenty of room to grow, but you won’t find many players like her. Elliott is a versatile 6-0 wing who can handle the ball and create for her teammates. I like how well she can attack the basket off the dribble and use her size to defend around the rim and rebound on both ends of the floor. She can initiate an offense and use her athleticism to get downhill or make plays on the perimeter defensively.

Elliott, a 6-0 junior is having a great summer and looks even better than last season where she averaged 23.5 ppg and 11.1 rpg in leading the Blue Bombers to a 22-5 record. Showing improved three-level scoring ability, Elliott is having her way, against defenders, whether that is getting to the hoop, at will, or pulling from mid-range. Last season she shot 33.8%, from deep, but looks like she has also improved in that area, knocking down three balls at a high clip.

Elliott is a player who wears numerous hats for her Blue Bombers team, and it’s probably helped her develop in all aspects. She has a solid handle for her size, is comfortable during the skills work, and moves well. She was another kid who played through mistakes and didn’t stop when she took a wrong step or bobbled the ball. I thought she showed that she was a quick learner.

The Kohler native has had an excellent sophomore season for the Blue Bombers. She possesses the physical tools and skill set most high school programs can’t handle. Elliott is a 6-0 guard/wing who can use her length and stride to get around her initial defender and get downhill. I also love her willingness to play through contact around the basket and finish through and over players waiting for her around the rim. However, what differentiates her from her peers is how she sees the floor. She is a willing passer and will fit a program that plays motion. Elliott is comfortable making reads with the ball, and she is as unselfish as it gets when she’s playing her best basketball. There isn’t much to like about what she brings to the floor.

Gwenn impressed me as one of the best rebounders, if not the best, that I saw at The Expo. She was a nightmare to keep off of the offensive glass due to her non-stop motor and use of body position. She probably had 6-8 offensive rebounds in each of the games that I saw resulting in putback layups, free throw attempts and shots for her teammates. As solid as she was, on the offensive glass, she also showed the ability to go coast-to-coast for a layup after a defensive rebound and the ability to step out and knock down the 3 ball.
