It is not often that an incoming freshman has a chance to contribute to a team that is coming off a championship, but Hadleigh Herron Hadleigh Herron 6'1" | C/PF Izard County | 2029 State AR brings in a new element to Izard County’s offense and defense, which could blow up the 2A-2.
Herron is coming off a great season with Izard County’s Junior High squad, where she earned an all-conference selection. Throughout the year, Herron proved to everyone that she was the most skilled player on the floor.
Against Viola in February, she could not be stopped in the paint, posting 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks. She had multiple offensive rebounds in that game, using her 6’1″ frame to soar over the opposition. Herron has a nice touch around the basket, and she can score easily through traffic. She has also shown some craftiness with the ball in her hands, as she can use a pro hop and get to the basket or a pump fake.
On top of being a great post scorer, Hadleigh Herron Hadleigh Herron 6'1" | C/PF Izard County | 2029 State AR is a shot blocker and rebounder. All of these abilities will serve her well as she could be a day-1 starter for the Lady Cougars, who have their eyes set on another championship.
