About Hadley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a quick lefty point guard who also plays combo guard. I love to spot open gaps to get to the hoop or find a way to draw the defense to dish to my teammates. I love fast-paced transition play, especially playing a 1-3-1 and using my defense to create scoring opportunities. I love to also shoot the 3, or use a move to set up other opportunities.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would consider myself to be gritty, hard-working, positive and outgoing. I really enjoy the challenge of the game and put in a lot of passion. I love to make friends and encourage my teammates along the way. I'm quick to get to know AAU teammates or upperclassmen or find ways to get our team to gel together. I would consider myself a leader on and off the court, and a lot of fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Besides basketball, I also play tennis and rodeo. As a freshman, I received an all-conference honorable mention in tennis and qualified for team state going 2-0 at the state tournament. In rodeo, I ran a campaign and was elected the National Student Secretary in 2024, representing the US & 4 countries, also qualifying for nationals 4x. I'm also active in my church and with my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have worked to develop leadership the last several years. I realize that leadership starts with trust and a foundation of respect. I try to get to know all teammates to develop trust and find ways to build them up. When the mood is low, I look for ways to bring everyone back up and focused. I work hard to lead by example in the energy I play with in both practice and games.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

​I wouldn't consider this significant, but my freshman year, I'd worked really hard to find a spot on our varsity team. Being a young and talented team, there wasn't a spot for me. I set up meetings with our coach​ to get feedback on what I could do better. Although I felt I'd missed my goal, I used the time to get even more focused and motivated for next season. ​Challenges make you better.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that would have great academic opportunities for a marketing, business or communications department as well as a strong basketball program. I'm looking both in and out of Wisconsin for a basketball program where I could really contribute.
