When Hailey entered high school, she already had a reputation of being a very good perimeter shooter. However, I think it really took away from a lot of the other things she does on the floor. She has good vision, a solid handle, and she does a nice job of setting up teammates in positions to score. She’s feisty defensively, she anticipates passing lanes well, but she also contains ballhandlers solidly. But sure, if you want to talk about her shooting, look away for just five minutes, and she’s capable of knocking down three or four 3-pointers during that time.

Hailey is an outstanding basketball player; she is just on the smaller side of things. But she possesses some speed and quickness, she is crafty with the ball in her hands, and she has improved as a ball-handler and playmaker. Where she has always stood out is as a perimeter shooter. She has a quick release and pretty mechanics, and you always feel like it’s going in. I think she could be an all-conference caliber small college guard for whoever gets her services. (She is technically on Lady Tigers Elite, but the software is not allowing me to update her travel team.)

Admittedly, it’s tough for me to see Hailey during the Winter months because of her location in Southern Indiana, but being able to see her in Louisville during July, she was very good. She has always been a dangerous perimeter shooter who can go on hot streaks at a moment’s notice. She has good quickness, and she has improved as a ball-handler, plus she is making better decisions with the ball, finding open teammates consistently. She’s also figuring out how to be effective at the defensive end of the floor at her size.

Hailey isn’t very big, but she has proven herself to be an elite shooter with a quick release. If she is given any space and/or time, it’s going up (and likely in). In about half of a game I saw Saturday, I believe she hit four triples. Additionally, she looks to have really improved her handle, vision, and passing. She has always possessed some quickness, but now she’s using the dribble and her quickness together to get defenders off-balance and create easy scores.

Although she isn’t very tall, she has good speed and quickness and can handle the ball with skill and patience. She excels at shooting the ball from beyond the arc. She does a good job at running in transition and seeing her teammates up the floor.. She is a fierce on-ball defender whose intense pressure made it hard for her defenders to even get the ball in their hands.

I really like the way Hailey played against SMAC Elite E40. She was very impactful in transition and did a great job leaking out ahead of the defense. She had several fast break layups and displayed a nice stop and pop game. She is a tenacious on-ball defender that made ball handlers miserable with her immense pressure.
