Friday, May 15, marked the beginning of the second NCAA "live" period in 2026. Indiana teams are spread throughout the country, so we chose to head to Louisville this past weekend where there were the greatest number of teams to see. Below is a look at a handful of prospects who I felt stepped up their game and really helped themselves Saturday when I was able to see them.

Ever since I saw Ashlee when she was entering high school, she has been a heady player but also an excellent shooter. She has gotten stronger, and she's starting to use that strength to get defenders on her hip, get that first step, and pull up to finish through contact. Her balance is really good, and she utilizes a strong base when she shoots it. She has also increased her range outside. I really like where her game is offensively for the next level. Defensively, she takes angles and understands how to read passing lanes.

I mentioned Courtney earlier this Spring, and she is an up-and-comer who has started to draw more "eyes" from college coaches. She has a strong frame, broad shoulders, but also some length in her arms and legs. She does a nice job of running the floor and playing "big". She is still learning finishing moves and how to finish through contact, but she keeps the ball high and looks like she is absorbing coaching. Her best days are likely well in front of her, because she has a great deal of potential for the college level.

Hailey is an outstanding basketball player; she is just on the smaller side of things. But she possesses some speed and quickness, she is crafty with the ball in her hands, and she has improved as a ball-handler and playmaker. Where she has always stood out is as a perimeter shooter. She has a quick release and pretty mechanics, and you always feel like it's going in. I think she could be an all-conference caliber small college guard for whoever gets her services. (She is technically on Lady Tigers Elite, but the software is not allowing me to update her travel team.)

Grace made two changes of scenery this year, and both seem to have helped her game. She transferred from Shenandoah to Pendleton Heights, and she changed coaches within the [program_tooltip program_id='714264' first='OPS' last=''] program. With this [program_tooltip program_id='714264' first='OPS' last=''] team, she is expected to get out and pressure the ball, and she really stood out Saturday because of that. I've never seen her defend with that much length, quickness, intensity, and urgency. She was fantastic, and I think that could be a calling card of hers among recruiting schools. She is a nice athlete, a slashing scorer, and she can shoot it a little, too.

Insert cliched comparison here...Energizer Bunny, warrior, scrapper, bulldog, it doesn't matter, she is always giving 100% effort and willing to run through walls for her team. She is constantly moving, always around the ball, and she's very strong at her size. She can play on the ball, get downhill, and find teammates or finish inside. She can also play off the ball, knock down an open rhythm jumper, or defend any of three perimeter positions with her toughness and grit. She's definitely a "culture" type of kid who can really make a small college program better.

I saw Quinn briefly last Summer and earlier this Spring, but we will start getting into 2030 stuff later in June, so I figured I'd mention her after this weekend. Brownsburg will be getting a special player/prospect next season. She has nice length, a wiry strength to her, and she is highly skilled at her size. Saturday, a lot of her play was off the dribble, but she stood out with an up-and-under, reverse layup she made, and she had a nice mid-post, turn-around, fade-away jumper that other girls don't even practice, let alone use in game conditions. Enjoy her skill each time you get to see her.
