Holcomb is the No. 3 Seed in the Scott Community Sub-state. The Longhorns advanced to the second round with a 76-35 win over the Hosington Cardinals. Jones has been tearing it up on the court and will need to continue to shoot lights out for the Longhorns to advance to the Class 3A State Tournament in Hutchinson. Holcomb hosts Scott Community in a second-round game on March 4.

Jones may be penciled in as a point guard but she will do a lot of everything for the Longhorns. Her all-around game makes her especially difficult to handle. Shooting 43% from three (63/151) last season and generating traditional three point plays, by sinking free throws at a 76% clip, makes her a threat to surpass her 16 points per game in 2025. The Great West Activities Conference first teamer earned Sports In Kansas 3A second team and KSHSAACovered honorable mention nods.

A very versatile guard that can play any position on the court. Posses a very strong scoring offensive skill set. Great footwork on the step back 3 for the shot. Attacks the rim off the dribble finding the gap to finish with a layup. Moved very well off the ball setting up team mates with screens.
Defense is where I saw the versatility. In the 1-2-2 zone she played on the bottom of the zone. Next time down she was playing the middle of the 2-3 zone. I will mark it down that she has a good understanding of the game to be able to play so many different spots. I liked the fact that she competed for every rebound or loose ball.
